Standard Series Rods

Handcrafted with precision and passion, split-cane bamboo rods embody the essence of fly fishing tradition.
I am currently accepting orders for the three Standard Series rod models below. All rods listed are 2 piece, 1 tip designs. Additional tips can be ordered for an additional cost. All Standard Series reel seats consist of a walnut insert, aluminum uplocking hardware, Full Wells or Fenwick style grip, chrome guides/hook keeper, nickel silver ferrules and a beautiful agate stripping guide. Default guide wrap colors are listed below. Additional trim bands may be added for additional cost. Of course, if you want something different we can discuss the options and customize a rod based on your preferences for an additional cost.

Email me for pricing.

If you'd like to discuss additional customizations, just send me an email with the details or text/call me at 918-520-8096 and we'll work together to find a solution.

6'3" (3 wt.)

A delicate rod for fishing small streams and creeks. Medium/fast action and built for precision casting at short distances.
Default guide wraps are olive.

7' (4 wt.)

A nice, all-purpose rod designed for casting dry flies in medium streams. Can cast smaller streamers and its slower action makes this rod perfect for chasing small to medium sized trout.
Default guide wraps are orange.

7' (5 wt.)

A versatile medium/fast trout rod with a little more mass in the butt section. This beefed up design helps with longer casts and can handle small to medium-size streamers.
Default guide wraps are crimson.

Orders may be placed by email. I build all rods on a first-come-first-served basis. So, once your order is submitted, you will be placed at the end of the queue and I will update you as my workload progresses. Wait times depend on the size of the backlog at the time of the order.

Once I am ready to begin building your rod, I will reach out and we will finalize the details of the order (hardware selection, wrap colors, grip style, etc.). After these details have been finalized, you will be billed for half the cost of the rod as a non-refundable deposit. This initial deposit is required prior to the build beginning. An additional deposit may be required on special requests and will be determined at the time of the order. Once I receive your deposit, I will begin work on your rod.

Throughout the process, I will keep you updated on the status of the build as well as any potential delays. Once the rod is complete, I will send you a final invoice with the remaining balance due along with taxes and shipping charges, which must be paid in full before the rod is shipped. The buyer is responsible for the full shipping cost of which I can provide an estimate upon an order being placed.
